I'm Brett, and I'm a Tarot reader

I acquired my first Tarot deck as a preteen, because what else are you supposed to give creepy children? Though I studied theatre and English literature, my first love has always been occultism, witchcraft, and Tarot. (And frogs, but that’s not entirely relevant.) In college, I started to take my practice seriously, working both alone and with mentors to develop my understanding of the Tarot. I’ve since made my living with Tarot, reading at myriad events and entertainment venues around Toronto, as well as conducting private readings.

As a Tarot reader, I use cards to tell stories in a way that sparks insight, reflection, and clarity. Spirituality plays a strong role in Tarot reading and is what draws many people to Tarot, but I maintain that the real magic of Tarot exists in the interplay of storytelling, intuition, and practical psychology. The information uncovered through storytelling and intuition is what makes Tarot fun and sexy, but it’s in the analysis of that information that Tarot becomes a vehicle for change. I strongly believe in the importance of a sense of wonder, and the uncanny way Tarot highlights which choices are right for us can make it easier to pursue those avenues of growth.
